Overview

Digital media center with four computer stations and a 3D printer.The Digital Media Center (DMC) is a digital media lab and makerspace located on the 2nd floor of the Athens-Clarke County Library.

  • Hours: The DMC is open during regular library hours.
  • Staffed hours: Check the DMC calendar.
  • All DMC users and visitors must sign in at the 2nd Floor Reference Desk.
  • The DMC is reserved for creative work, makerspace projects, and digital media conversion — not for general computing.

  • Creative software classes and tutorials (DMC calendar)

  • Computers: HP OMEN 35L Gaming Desktop computers with Windows 11 PC (x2) and Mac Studios (x2)
  • 3D Printers: Lulzbot Taz Workhorse and Makerbot Replicator (5th gen.)
  • Audio equipment: M-Audio Keystation49 MK3, Focusrite Scarlett Solo, Shure SM58 mic, and Yeti Blue podcast mic
  • Cricut machine: Cameo Silhouette 3
  • Drawing tablets: Wacom Intuos
  • Digital media hardware: VCR, portable cassette player, CD/DVD drives, Elgato Video Converter
  • VR Systems: Facebook Oculus Quest VR (x3) and HTC Vive VR (For outreach programs)
