Position Summary:

The Circulation Services Associate provides direct customer service to library patrons, assisting with materials circulation, information needs, and readers’ advisory. This position works as part of the Circulation Team to provide front-line materials circulation services to patrons in the library and performs other routine, supportive duties. The ability to independently initiate, carry out, and resume work projects at any stage is essential, as is maintaining accuracy in financial transactions. The position reports to the Library Manager.

Training and Experience:

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least one year of experience working with the public

Preferred:

• College degree or college experience
• Public library experience
• Bilingual in Spanish and English

Position Summary:

The Library Manager is a knowledgeable and enthusiastic team leader with a strong commitment to public service. The purpose of this job is to coordinate and manage the daily operations of the Library, ensuring excellent customer service and satisfaction for library patrons. The Library Manager provides direct customer service, supervises staff, participates in community outreach efforts, manages projects, participates in meetings, resolves issues, and assumes additional responsibilities as needed.

Training and Experience:

Required:

• 2-3 years of experience working in a public library
• Progressively responsible supervisory experience
• Customer service experience

Preferred:

• A Master’s Degree in Library Science from an ALA-accredited institution
• State of Georgia Librarian certification
• Bilingual ability (English-Spanish)

• A minimum of one year of customer service experience

Preferred:

• Public library experience
• Interest in the pursuit of an MLS degree
• Bilingual ability (English-Spanish)

The ability to present to a group is a plus. This position reports to the Resource Center Manager.

• At least one year of experience working with the public

• College degree or college experience
• Public library experience
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) skills

The Librarian collaborates with their team to create and deliver a variety of programs and classes to benefit the community. They assist patrons in the computer lab as needed. All employees within this department serve as U.S. Passport Agents. This position reports to the Head of Adult Services.

Training and Experience:

Required:

• A Master’s Degree in Library Science from an ALA-accredited institution
• State of Georgia Librarian certification
• Customer service experience
• Ability to meet the requirements to become a U.S. Passport agent, as stipulated by the U.S. Department of State.

Preferred:

• Public library experience
• Bilingual ability (English-Spanish)
