Athens-Clarke County Library Endowment
Fun fact! The Athens-Clarke County Library Foundation started as the Athens-Clarke County Library Endowment in 1995. The entity expanded in early 2020 to become a full-featured library foundation to encourage both funding for critical “now projects” as well as the building of endowment for long-term sustainability.
The Athens-Clarke County Library Endowment Fund remains the principal permanent asset of the foundation forever restricted to be an endowment consistent with its original purposes of:
- Providing long-term financial support for the acquisition of up-to-date materials in all formats, keeping apace with changing technologies and trends;
- Increasing public awareness of library needs for continuous improvement of library services;
- Promoting library contributions which enrich and improve the quality of life in our community.
You can give now or in the future to either the main general endowment fund, one of the existing speciality endowments, or create your own!
