The Athens Regional Library System offers patrons several ways to enjoy free digital eBooks, audiobooks, magazines, and more with a PINES library card. Here’s a quick rundown of what’s in each collection, some of the borrowing terms, and other key details so that you can take your library everywhere.

Libby

How to Access: Visit libbyapp.com/library/gadd or download the app in your phone’s app store. You’ll need your PINES library card to login.

In This Collection: eBooks, audiobooks, and magazines for all ages.

Borrowing Terms: Check out up to 10 items at a time for anywhere between 7 and 21 days. Place up to 10 holds at a time. No wait times for magazines, and you’ll be notified as your eBook and audiobook holds become available.

This App is Best For: New releases.

Hoopla

How to Access: Visit hoopladigital.com or download the app in your phone’s app store. You’ll need your PINES library card to sign up and login.

In This Collection: eBooks, audiobooks, comics, magazines, streaming videos and music for all ages

Borrowing Terms: Check out up to 5 items each month, with loan periods varying based on content type.  No wait times for any titles; Everything is instantly available to you.

This App is Best For: Older releases, video content, and more.

eRead Kids (via Boundless)

How to Access: Visit athensga.boundless.baker-taylor.com or download the app in your phone’s app store. You’ll need your PINES library card to login.

In This Collection: eBooks and audiobooks for kids up to 4th grade

Borrowing Terms: Check out up to 10 items at a time. Place up to 10 holds at a time. You’ll be notified as your eBook and audiobook holds become available.

This App is Best For: Books for kids.

For all of our eBook options, you’ll be required to carry an active PINES card from the Athens Regional Library System, and your “home library” may need to be set to one of our eleven branches. You can confirm that setting in your PINES account preferences.
