Prom Season is right around the corner!
Athens-Clarke County Library will be hosting our annual event Bling Your Prom on Friday, February 24 from 2pm-5:30pm and Saturday, February 25 from 9:30am-5:30 pm. This event invites high school-aged youth from Athens-Clarke County and surrounding areas to pick out a FREE complete outfit for Prom! Teens can sustainably “shop” all kinds of new and gently used formalwear, shoes, and accessories.
The Teen Services department is still accepting donations until Friday, February 24! Any of the following can be dropped off at the Teen desk during library hours:
- Men’s and Women’s Formalwear
- Jewelry and Accessories
- Men’s and Women’s Formal Shoes
- New (Unused) Cosmetics and Hair Products
- Service/Store Coupons
- Paper Shopping Bags
- Jewelry/Accessory Displays
- Mirrors
- Clothing racks
- Pop-up changing rooms
Volunteers for setup and the event itself are also needed! Members of the community can sign up to volunteer at bit.ly/BlingYourProm.
