One Day to Read Them ALL!

Painting by J.R.R. Tolkien from Smithsonian Magazine

Tolkien Reading Day is held on the 25th of March each year. The date of the 25th of March was chosen as the date on which Sauron was vanquished.

Come ‘check out’ the one fantasy book that rules them all!

And visit the Oglethorpe County Library to see our Lord of the Rings prop display, enjoy some snacks (though Lamas bread and coneys aren’t guaranteed), rent Tolkien books, and make some precious crafts. If you’re lucky, you might even see an elf!

Come join us at 3 PM – 5 PM, on Monday, March 25, 2024.
