The Athens-Clarke County Library is pleased to announce the appointment of Darcy Downie as its new Public Information Officer.
In her position as the Public Information Officer, Downie will help develop and implement strategic communication initiatives with the goal to foster meaningful connections between the library and the community while enhancing public awareness of Athens-Clarke County’s vast array of programs, resources, and services.
Downie has worked in communications for the past five years, with experience in executing advertising campaigns, managing social media presence, and planning events. Their experience combined with a love of promoting literacy and empowering their community will ensure a strong relationship is fostered between the Athens-Clarke County Library and local media contacts.
