Get ready for a truly FUN day on Saturday, June 3, 2023 from 10:00am – 1:00pm at the Athens-Clarke County Library! All of the Family Fun Day’s activities are being coordinated by the Friends of the Library to bring you a huge variety of things to enjoy. Join us both inside and outside the library for these great attractions:
- Puppet-building workshop with Atlanta Center for Puppetry Arts
- Puppet show conducted by Lee Bryan, That Puppet Guy, with four different show times: 10:30 am, 11 am, noon & 12:30 pm
- Crafts in the children’s area
- “Touch the Truck” (sponsored by ACC.gov), a hands-on showcase of a variety of city vehicles
- Sandy Creek Nature Center presentation
- Wildlife Critters petting zoo featuring mini pigs, ducks, ducklings, chickens, chicks, lots of bunnies, guinea pigs, ferrets, hedgehogs and a baby tortoise
- Photo Booth – back by popular demand
- Sidewalk chalk, bubbles and popcorn!
- Tours of the library’s Heritage Room
