It’s National Poetry Month, and the Athens-Clarke County Library will be celebrating with original readings by local authors and students on Sunday, April 16 at 3 p.m. Members of the Clarke Center High School Poetry Club will join Amanda Dzimianski, the author of Ache is a Passport, and J.R. Barner, author of the forthcoming work Little Eulogies, in reading their own works as well as works from poets such as Emily Dickinson, Billy Collins, Audre Lorde, Amanda Gorman, Ada Limon. Copies of Deaf Republic, poems by Ilya Kaminsky, will be available at this event. This program is part of the NEA Big Read events.
