The Athens Regional Library System is happy to announce the appointment of Lorrie Lavengood as the new Business Manager. With an impressive background in business management and a passion for community development, Lavengood will drive strategic growth and enhance the library’s financial sustainability.
As the Business Manager, Lavengood will be responsible for working with the director in overseeing all aspects of financial planning, budgeting, and business development at Athens Regional Library System. Lavengood will play a pivotal role in the system’s continued success and its ability to meet the evolving needs of the community.

Lavengood boasts an impressive 18 years of accounting experience in both private and non-profit capacities. Previously, she worked for the Morgan County Government, where she resides with her two children. In her spare time she enjoys riding horses and camping with her family.
