Accessibility Statement

The Athens Regional Library System is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are working continually to improve the user experience of this website for everyone by adopting relevant accessibility standards.

Conformance

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. There are three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. The Athens Regional Library System is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.

We plan to fully conform to WCAG 2.2 level AA standards by the beginning of 2025.

Limitations

At the current time, there may be some limitations to accessibility on this website. Below is a description of known limitations:

• Some link buttons may have low contrast.
• New book widgets do not have a pause feature.
• Some videos on our YouTube video may lack accurate captions.
• Some links on our site do not show a visual focus indicator.
