The Friends of the Lavonia-Carnegie Library are hosting their 2nd Annual Carnegie Color Crawl on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at 12:00 P.M. April is CDH Awareness Month, and CDH, or Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia, occurs when there is a hole in the diaphragm, the thin sheet of muscle separating the chest from the abdomen. When this gap forms during a fetus’s development in the womb, the bowel, stomach, or even the liver can move into the chest cavity. All proceeds will be split 50/50 between the Friends of the Lavonia Library and the charity CDH Stars and Angels.
