This three-week class incorporates books, nursery rhymes, musical instruments and interactive play. With Miss Erika. In Storyroom. one spooky  nightPut on your favorite Halloween disguise and join us for our Special 20th Annual One Spooky Night: A Vintage Halloween Carnival on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 from 6:30 pm until 8:00 pm! Enjoy an evening of seasonal tales, costumes, shadow puppetry and surprises! After the performance, enjoy trick-or-treating throughout the library for non-food prizes at every public desk. Journey through the haunted Storyroom, play vintage carnival games and make an assortment of spooky crafts. For all ages with caregiver. Performance in Meeting Rooms A&B. Activities building-wide.

Two centuries ago, Mary Shelley sat up on a dark, stormy night, trying to write a ghost story. The story she came up with that night would ultimately become the first science-fiction novel- Frankenstein! Come learn about the life of this incredible young woman and how she created one of the most famous monsters of all time. With crafts to go. ACC Library and Avid Bookshop proudly present New York Times best-selling author-illustrator Mike Lowery, as he shares his latest amazingly zany book Everything Awesome About Dinosaurs and Other Prehistoric Beasts. Discover a wealth of weird, wacky, and wild facts about dinosaurs, told in Lowery’s distinctive comic book style. Books will be available for purchase. Dinosaur costumes are encouraged. Discover the classic story of Georgie the ghost, as we share seasonal songs, rhymes, crafts and snacks. For children ages 2-5 and their caregiver on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at 9:30 am and 10:30 am. Before you go trick-or-treating, start off your Halloween with a few spooky animated shorts, based on classic children’s picture books: The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid of Anything, A Very Brave Witch, and Los Gatos Black on Halloween.
