Meet the creator of Georgia’s favorite blue cat at this groovy event, with free pizza while supplies last! For children ages 3-11 and their caregiver. This special event is proudly cohosted by Avid Bookshop and the Athens-Clarke County Library on Tuesday, September 3, at 6:30 pm. Books will be available for purchase.

Bilingual storytime¡Bienvenido! Join us for this special program of Spanish/English language fun on Friday, September 6, at 4:00 pm! Share books, songs, rhymes and activities en español y ingles on the first Friday of every month. For children ages 3-8 and their caregiver.

Help your child become tuneful, artful and beatful with this curriculum based music and movement class for young children. Celebrate early childhood with songs, stories, games and dancing. Folk songs, rhymes, and classical music are used to develop young musical minds and abilities in this 7-week course. Thursdays, September 12, 19, & 26; October 3, 10, 17 & 24 at 10:00 am. For children ages 3-5 and their caregiver. Registration is limited to 25 children; please call the children’s desk to save your spot.

After our special storytime, enjoy hands-on mystery shape activities and crafts to go on Saturday, September 7, at 11:00 am. For children ages 3-8 and their caregiver.

Book Club: Save me a seat: New friends Joe and Ravi think they do not have anything in common- Joe has always lived in the same town, and Ravi and his family have just moved to America from India. Over the course of one wild week, Joe and Ravi will find they have a lot more in common than they thought, but will they ever figure out how to take control of their lives? Games and snacks provided. For children ages 8-11 on Thursday, September 12, at 4:00 pm. Participation is limited to 10 children. Please call the Children’s Desk to register and to put your book on hold.
