We seek an entry-level librarian to join the Information Services team. The System will hire an experienced, responsible, creative, and enthusiastic individual who embraces and thrives in an active, fast-paced, culturally diverse environment. A successful candidate will deliver excellent customer service, will have knowledge of print and online resources to assist library patrons with their information needs, and technical skills to assist patrons using computers. The person in this job may serve as a library representative on local community organizations and will act as a U.S. Passport Acceptance Agent. The right candidates will be energetic, creative, and tech-savvy with a passion for, and strong commitment to, public service. This position reports to the Assistant Director for Public Services.

Minimum Training & Experience

This position requires an MLS from an ALA-accredited university or current enrollment in an ALA-accredited MLS program with requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position; or a bachelor's degree and two years' public library experience, or any combination of education, training, and experience that provides requisite knowledge, skills and abilities for the position. Previous public library reference experience is preferred.
